From a village in southern Botswana, we process the maize, sorghum, and grain that feed a nation, milling thousands of tonnes a year and reaching markets beyond it.
Where we come from
A village, not a capital.
We are based in Pitsane, a village in southern Botswana not Gaborone, not a port, not a place industry usually chooses. We chose it anyway, because this is where the work matters most.
Since 2018, every job we create here is a job that didn't exist before us. Every truck that leaves our gates carries something a village made, not something a capital city assembled and shipped outward.
What we do
From raw grain to daily food.
We process and mill maize, sorghum, millet, soya, and rice into the staples eaten across Botswana every day: maize meal, mabele, samp, flour, and fortified nutrition for the elderly and infants. An animal feed division runs alongside the food side of the business.
Raw grain becomes packed product under one roof, moved by our own rail and road logistics and certified to international quality standards, built to hold quality from mill to shelf. We are 100% Botswana-owned, and what we make reaches both local tables and export markets beyond our borders.
Every year, that means thousands of tonnes of grain turned into food a nation actually eats.
The people behind it
We are the work, not just the workforce.
A mill runs on people before it runs on machinery. In Pitsane, that means livelihoods that didn't depend on leaving home to find them, work that stays in the village instead of pulling families away from it.
Today, Sprinkle Stars drives local employment across Pitsane and its neighboring villages, creating diverse roles in milling, logistics, packaging, and quality control. Bringing sustainable jobs directly to communities rather than requiring residents to relocate for work.

Eight staples, one mill.
Mabele
Pure grain sorghum, milled as mabele. A heritage grain grown by farmers we know, turned into the porridge that opens a morning for households across the country.
Millet
Milled millet, for porridge and traditional dishes. An older grain than the mill itself, still finding its way to modern tables because it never stopped belonging there.
Samp
Whole maize kernels, processed for samp. The slower dish, the one families still make the way it's always been made, just processed at a scale a household kitchen couldn't manage alone.
Rice
Rice, processed and packed for local and export market. Proof that what leaves Pitsane doesn't stop at Botswana's border.
Flour
Flour, milled for household and commercial kitchens. The ingredient behind other food, rarely noticed until it's missing.
Fortified Foods
Nutrition formulated for the eldery and infants because feeding a nation means feeding it well, not just feeding it.
Animal Feed
Feed milled and packed alongside our food products is the same equipment, the same standards, extended to what the country's livestock depend on.

We don't grow alone.
Behind every bag we mill is a grower who planted, tended, and harvested first.
Our supply runs through a wide base of local farmers across Botswana. The land they work is the land our business depends on, season after season. A mill is only as reliable as the growers behind it. We take that seriously, because they made us possible before we ever built a facility.

Pitsane is not where you'd expect to find an export-grade mill. That's exactly why we're here.
